Gaisler Research AB announced new licensing agreements with leading companies such as EADS Astrium. (France), Ball Aerospace (US) and Vineyard Technologies (US). All have selected the LEON3 processor and the GRLIB IP-library for their System on Chip (SoC) designs. These companies now join the rapidly growing base of customers that use the LEON processor. Fault tolerant LEON3 processor licensed for new space missions

Gaisler Research AB announced that license agreements have been signed for the use of the fault tolerant LEON3 processor with Assurance Technology Corporation (US), Syderal SA (Switzerland) and Tubitak Uzay (Turkey). The LEON3 and the GRLIB IP library will be used together with the RTAX2000S FPGA from ACTEL Inc.

LEON processor in focus at DASIA 2007 conference in Naples, Italy

The international space system engineering conference DASIA 2007 (DAta Systems In Aerospace) was held this year in May - June in Naples, Italy. The LEON processor and related tools were discussed in several oral presentations during the conference.

A full session was dedicated to LEON based processors, during which Gaisler Research presented a wide range of applications in which the LEON processor is being used, covering LEON2-FT in the AT697F device from Atmel, LEON3-FT being implemented on various technologies, and finally the status of the LEON4 study.

Gaisler Research extends the GRLIB IP library with USB 2.0 Host Controller

Gaisler Research AB announced that a USB 2.0 Host Controller IP (Intellectual Property) core is now available as a part of the GRLIB IP library. The Host Controller supports High-, Full- and Low-Speed USB traffic. USB 2.0 High-Speed functionality is supplied by an enhanced host controller implementing the Enhanced Host Controller Interface (EHCI). Full- and Low-Speed functionality (USB 2.0 and USB 1.1) is supplied by one or more companion controllers implementing the Universal Host Controller Interface (UHCI).

LEON3-FT-RTAX used as instrument controller in the BepiColombo satellite  

Gaisler Research AB announced that a license agreement has been signed for the use of the Fault Tolerant LEON3 processor with DLR (Germany). The LEON3 and the GRLIB IP library will be used in the BELA instrument which is a laser altimeter, chosen to be a payload on the European Space Agency BepiColombo satellite.
