Cobham Gaisler AB provides IP cores and supporting development tools for embedded processors based on the SPARC architecture. We specialize in digital hardware design for both commercial and aerospace applications

Available in 2016:

The Radiation-Tolerant 18x SpaceWire Router device is ideally suited for space and other high-rel applications, providing a high-throughput wormhole router functionality:

Cobham Gaisler offers a powerful 300 DMIPS and 250 MFLOPS dual-core fault-tolerant SPARC V8 processor for space and other high-reliability applications:

Cobham Gaisler offers powerful embedded controllers and peripheral components for aerospace and military applications. The components are based on the same high-quality intellectual property (IP) cores that constitute the GRLIB IP-core library. The components combine our fault-tolerant designs with the radiation-tolerant low power FPGA technology from Actel. The FPGA components are delivered preprogrammed according to our standard specifications. Custom configurations can be created on request.

Cobham (Colorado Springs) offers a processor based on LEON3/GRLIB:

Cobham (Colorado Springs) also offers SpaceWire related components:

In cooperation with ASIC foundries Cobham Gaisler offers LEON3/GRLIB based System-On-a-Chip solutions. Typically these ASIC components feature a highly integrated design that incorporates the LEON3 processor and all system peripherals. Cobham  Gaisler’s robust solutions are utilized in a broad range of applications, such as:

      • Routers and switches
      • Wireless base stations
      • GPS receivers
      • Digital set-top boxes
      • Satellites and launchers

The Cobham Gaisler FPGA and ASIC System-On-a-Chip solutions are based on a high-performance architecture that combines high system throughput with integrated peripherals such as DDR, SDRAM, giga-bit Ethernet, USB 2.0, Mil-Std-1553 and SpaceWire.
